Print-in-place hinges that actually work without breaking: Layer height: 0.15mm. Gap between hinge pin and hole: 0.3mm. Temperature: 205°C for PLA. Speed: 30mm/s for the hinge area. Cooling: 100% fan at layer 2. I use a 0.4mm nozzle. Works on Bambu Lab and Prusa. The key insight: print the pin vertically for strength.
I design quick 3D-printed positioning jigs for repeat jobs. Cut 20 identical pieces in half the time. Anyone else doing this hybrid workflow?
Replaced the stock MDF with a custom piece that has T-slot channels every 50mm. Total game changer for workholding.
